The Championship of Countable's Spring 2019 Bill Acronym Bracket
How do you feel about congressional use of bill acronyms?
In honor of the end of another congressional work week and politicians’ penchant for the pithy bill acronyms that have grown in popularity since the passage of the USA PATRIOT Act, we’ve put together another tournament in which you — Countable users — will choose the best bill acronym of the 116th Congress.
Countable’s selection committee has chosen and seeded 16 of the most creatively, and in some cases spitefully, titled pieces of legislation this Congress has introduced so far. The field has narrowed to two contenders for the title: Sen. Mark Warner’s (D-VA) Stop the STUPIDITY Act and Rep. Anthony Brown’s (D-MD) FIRED Act. May the best bill acronym win!
