Giuliani: Trump’s Team Should Be Able to ‘Correct’ Mueller Report – Do You Agree?

Should Trump be allowed to "correct" the Mueller report before its released?

by Countable | Updated on 1.11.19

What’s the story?

  • Rudy Giuliani is arguing the president's legal team should be allowed to “correct” special counsel Robert Mueller’s final report on possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia before Congress or the American public get to read it.
  • “As a matter of fairness, they should show it to you — so we can correct it if they’re wrong,” Giuliani, a member of Trump’s legal team, told The Hill. “They’re not God, after all. They could be wrong.”

What are both sides saying?

  • The former New York City mayor repeated that President Donald Trump is innocent of all claims, and said it’s important for the president to protect executive privilege.
“Of course we have to see [the report] before it goes to Congress,” Giuliani said. “We have reserved executive privilege and we have a right to assert it. The only way we can assert it is if we see what is in the report.”
  • Trump’s nominee for attorney general, William Barr, has criticized Mueller and his team of being “overzealous prosecutors.”
  • Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, told CNN he’d do "everything possible so that the public has the advantage of as much of the information as it can."
  • If Mueller’s report was not made public, Congress could issue subpoenas to try and force its release.

What do you think?

Should the president be allowed to “correct” Mueller’s report before its released to the public? Take action and tell your reps, then share your thoughts below.

Of course not!!! What kind of nonsense is that. Do defense attorneys get to correct prosecutors reports? No. Giuliani should go to a senior living center as he clearly has no sense of reality anymore and meads constant care.

Hell no! Why should they be able to correct Mueller’s report. Just because they might not like what it says. Accept the report the way it is, period.

He has the right to review what he is being accused of. And to submit a rebuttal point by point. If not, we now live in a fascist dictatorship controlled by Democrats.

If revisions are made by Trump’s team, I think it should only be allowed under very strict circumstances and be clearly identified as a correction and the rationale behind the change.

An independent counsel should remain independent. The investigated shouldn’t alter the investigators finding.

CORRECTION OF THE MUELLER REPORT - YES/NO? Should the president or his legal team be allowed to “correct” Mueller’s report before its released to the public? By All Means Hell YES. Based on the obvious biased attitude of Mueller and his Democratic “Supporting” legal team are bound to be reflected n their prepared report. This POTENTIAL probability of biased or inaccurate charges or information occurring warrents their report to be validated prior to bei-ng publicly released, to prevent false, as probably was planned. We’re bound in seeing the Mueller report being manipulated through the Democratic MSM / Social Media by the use of Propaganda: which is information that is not objective and is used primarily to influence an audience and further an agenda, often by presenting facts selectively to encourage a particular synthesis or perception which includes but is not limited to: * Misinformation: is false or incorrect information, that is spread intentionally or unintentionally. * Disinformation: is false information spread deliberately to deceive * Distraction: That which distracts, divides the attention, or prevents concentration on the Truth/Facts. Don't tell folks only what you want them to hear BUT what they really need to hear. SneakyPete..... 🙀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙀. 1*11*19.........

Criminals are not allowed to review and amend police reports before they are brought before a judge. That would undermine the institution. While the president reserves the right to executive privilege, the use would be an abuse of power if used to cover up any wrong doings. Knowing the parties involved I believe that misuse is very likely. This would be a miscarriage of justice and is unacceptable.

It should be released, in full and no redactions - Transparency is what this investigation needs - if something happened we need to know, if nothing happened we need to know- it is your jobs as our Representatives to insure a full and complete disclosure- our Democracy demands it

#45 and his legal minions should ABSOLUTELY NOT be permitted to amend, erase, view, provide an “alternative truth”, mark-up, white-out, tear-up, or get near the final Mueller investigation report. It should be presented to Congress and the American public. At which time, the Bozo-in-Chief and ambulance/fame chaser Guiliani will no doubt throw a tantrum about the validity of the report. They can go ahead and stomp their feet and get red in the face from screaming, as the facts/truths will have documentation and financial records as concrete proof.

Trump and correct. Isn't that an oxymoron? No editing or changing or subtracting anything. Let the facts lie where they may. Trump made his bed and now he can lie in it.

No..what are you correcting if you stated facts and truths the first time? This is overstepping your bounds. Can a criminal change a report? They can add to the report and maybe refute, but the report should not be changed under no circumstances. Geesh, reaching! This is absurd that these people would even think and furthermore allow this type of immoral behavior.
