Congress Prepares to Vote on Final Version of GOP Tax Bill

The GOP’s tax reform push took a big step forward Friday as Republican members of the conference committee signed off on a compromise that blends the House- and Senate-passed versions of the bill. Here’s what’s in it:
What’s Next?
Monday evening the House Rules Committee is scheduled to meet to structure the debate around the bill when it heads to the floor for a vote as early as Tuesday. If it passes the House, the Senate could vote to send it to President Donald Trump’s desk later that day or on Wednesday. At present no GOP senators have expressed opposition to the final version of the bill.
