While I am against this vote, I believe it's for a different reason. ACA has been extremely destructive to the insurance market, causing unbelievable inflation in costs, assistance in creating near monopolistic insurance companies, pushing more affordable plans out of existence, and forcing every single person to pay for a product, whether they want it or not. However, AHCA is no better, keeping many of the same policies, while getting rid of the money making mechanism, allowing the continuance of bad policies, at the cost of our future selves and our children. I'm disgusted with the weakness in both parties to give power back to states, districts, and especially the people. The government has neither the right, nor the ability, to attempt to finagle institutions out of their realm of understanding for our supposed benefit. As in all liberal, and unfortunately most "conservative", policies, the decisions they make hurt the very people they are intended to help.
