I’m not sure the electoral college is exactly doing its job now of days anyway. You always hear the argument that it protects the small states but can you say that when small states like Montana Louisiana or South Carolina get zero visits from any candidate? Weirdly though candidates ignore the big states like California and Texas that only got 1 visit each and New York who got zero. Instead the candidates just focus on Ohio Florida and Pennsylvania because of close polling margins. Do you care that these candidates only care about these three states? Do you want to keep a system that picks a candidate that a majority of Americans didn’t vote for 7% of the time?
