It sounds great in theory, but what happens if the company cannot grant the time off? Can the employee accrue the time off & carry it over into the next year? Or can the comp time then become paid overtime instead? Not to mention, some people need the overtime pay. Will this mean that the company can push the comp time onto the employee instead of paying overtime? On paper, it sounds good, but this appears suspiciously like companies wanting to get out of compensating their employees fairly.
