What horrible wording on this title! This is a bill to authorize state systems. I fully believe a national one is needed, similar to the long-term initiative for consolidated health care records. Too much cross-state border doctor shopping, remnant filling of Rx by bad RPhs, and over-prescribing by bad MDs. Need a centralized system to help identify the glaring abusers. The system won't fix an addiction problem, but can help identify and get some of the illegal dealing out of the system. What would have been helpful in the details is an approximate cost of a national system. Not sure it would be more expensive--- and probably could be cheaper.
