This is not enough to get people who are on welfare into a long term job. Plus, most people on welfare already work, they just don't get paid enough to make ends meet. With the automation of many jobs, this will continue to be a problem. If we want to get people long lasting jobs and off of welfare, then we need to make college more affordable, as jobs requiring a college degree are the only jobs that pay a livable wage. And even then, a masters degree is becoming the new bachelors degree, and a bachelors degree is the new high school diploma.
