Firstly, elected officials must stop peddling the false narrative that "pro choice" means "pro abortion." This is simply NOT true and is a misleading label. Pro choice means the decision should be left to the woman and her doctor. Period. For some this is a heart wrenching decision (remember- many pro choice supporters are anti-abortion for themselves) and for some it is easy (due to medical, financial, or emotional hardships). The government should NOT make it harder. Secondly, the separation of church and state is enshrined in the founding documents our politicians hold so dear. If anyone can provide a non-religious reason for not supporting women's choice, I am all ears. But this far the only arguments provided by the pro life movement are based in personal religious belief. That has NO place in a government that is supposed to represent all citizens.
