This is a decision that should be left to the pregnant person, not the government. Abortions after 20 weeks are already rare and are nearly always the result of very serious complications that typically cannot be confirmed earlier in the pregnancy. The people who are faced with this choice do so under the most difficult situations. This bill has the intention of decreasing suffering. However, taking away the right of each patient to choose the best medical care for their situation and their family would have the opposite effect of increasing suffering.
