This is what we need in the region. Many admired the Trans Pacific Partnership as it would strengthen ties in the region, but at the cost of domestic economic growth and stability. Both candidates Clinton and Trump opposed it by election day. The concept of this bill is everything good about the Trans Pacific Partnership without the bad; this doesn't instill multilateral free trade agreements with nations of lower standards of living (thus open to taking jobs), but instead establishes diplomatic and military ties. This ensures the United States maintains a strong presence in South East Asia in addition to many other portions of the continent.
