Religious discrimination is not a value of our America. All people fleeing death, famine, and general turmoil need protection, regardless of their personal, private faith. The vetting process for middle eastern refugees is already very strenuous, in other words, we already are implementing protocol that addresses the very real security concern. I ask my representatives to decidedly address this issue with clarity and wholeheartedness and not give in to the fearful, often baseless rhetoric which asserts that all of these people, faced with the threat of ISIS, air strikes, famine, civil war, etc. wish us harm. They just want their children to go to bed at night and not worry about being killed. And I would be glad to share my community with them, you should be too.
