Public funds have never gone to abortion despite the fact that it the current law. What this does is take away necessary health services, cancer screenings and family planning away from low-income women and families. If this funding goes away, so does access to contraception, which prevents the need for abortion. This bill is a thinly disguised smear campaign against Planned Parenthood and other services geared towards women's health. This administration has shown over and again that they consider women as less than - this bill (written by men) reinforces that very same opinion.
