Ideally speaking, shouldn't laws be applied meaningfully and equally across the spectrum? I think that if a bank clerk would go to jail for committing a certain crime, then an executive should go to jail for committing the same crime. Trouble is so many loopholes and gray areas exist that lawyers can take advantage, complicate everything and distort the crime itself, ala Donald Trump. It's hard to simplify and equalize an out-of-control behemoth but I think we should sincerely aspire to do that. IMO, this is a decent point of law to apply fairly.
