Absolutely! If reparations was sanctioned at one time, studying why reparations never happened and the impact of this decision would be quite enlightening to all Americans. Do I think reparations is " a handout?" No as history details government providing many land and money opportunities at no cost to all White Americans. Do I think we should all "move on?" Absolutely, but the question is how do we move on. The initial "moving on" that lasted for over 100 years traumatized and oppressed the African American community. So, the question is how do we move on from this well-documented, less than 50 year-old,horrid legacy of violence and discrimination towards a group of people who have contributed to American wealth in numerous ways? I think this study could help as we need a more effective way of healing and beginning an effective conversation.
