What this illustrates is that no bill to reduce student debt goes far enough and may even backfire unless ALL students are debt free. I cannot support a bill that leaves the majority of the populace in the dust to hand over their retirement for a false hope of a stable income. Every single one of my friends who graduated with bachelor's from college lost their jobs, not due to lack of skill but because their employers wanted to pay less by off shoring or hiring new recruits with no tenure - also desperate to pay off loans. They are now back at the same minimum wage jobs they were trying to avoid only this time with a lifetime of debt. And the cycle continues. This is sickening. This is also utterly unsustainable and WILL collapse. Either fund education through taxes on the rich, or watch our economy burst. There is no other way.
