Looks like the GOP is planning to move forward with another rushed, party-line vote to replace the ACA prior to a CBO score or other analysis. While they have been stuck in repeal but we can't figure out with what for seven years, the public opinion of the ACA has improved. Unfortunately, they have already sabotaged the funding for the plan such that insurers will need to further increase rates to address the uncertainty. The ACA wasn't perfect, but it is being sabotaged to fulfill the GOP prophecy that it will fail. This new plan still leaves 23 million more people without healthcare, and reduces coverage for many others, and will not make healthcare costs more affordable! The end-game is short-term profits for big insurance, deeper pockets for politicians and a bid at being reflected in their gerrymandered districts. If sick and older people cannot afford sufficient coverage, this will soon have an even bigger negative impact on our economy. If we are unable or unwilling to keep our citizens healthy and educated, tell me, what happens to innovation, jobs, the economy and ultimately our national security? Many seem to be too short-sighted to see the longer term impacts of the GOP policies on healthcare and education. I urge a NO vote on this Graham-Cassidy bill.
