This will unfortunately not put a stop to lobbying. To be clear, I despise lobbying though I respect people's rights to free speech and to be involved in the political process. Lobbying takes away from the organic nature of a representative democracy by blurring the line separating advocating for the people and advocating for select groups intent on buying votes. This is not going to rid us of this problem though, just as how stepping on one bug doesn't put an end to an infestation. Our lawmakers should not be so involved with lobbyists, and we should elect lawmakers and leaders who will push lobbyists aside to hear what their constituents want. That's on us as people and not written regulations. Those have loopholes, we do not.
