We can afford to spend endlessly on taking lives while denying refuge to those we've made homeless and nearly helpless with our bombs, drones, and weapons industry? We can afford to give endlessly to the 1%? But we can't afford to give refuge? We can't afford universal healthcare like the rest of the developed world can give to everyone, visitor or citizen? We can't afford to have clean water, or clean air or unpoisened earth? We can't afford safe bridges, roads, pipes, or neighborhoods that need not fear militarized police? This bill lumps together totally unrelated items to create more chaos and confusion. It is a bill of an authoritarian dictatorship as my colleague TickTock says. Nay a thousand times nay.
