Emergency seeems to be too elastic a word. I had hoped that when Congress saw that we'd elected Donald Trump President they would quickly limit the expansive powers that office has acquired before allowing a man so unsuited to exercise them. Alas that didn't happen and here we are. Before we all are required to only buy 200 watt incandescent lightbulbs, 5 mpg diesel trucks, 5 gallon flush toilets, this must be stopped. Unless we want to join the "bird graveyard under the wind turbines" we need to limit Presidential power, lest it be misused again. It's not just a Trump thing. Roosevelt's court packing attempt, Obama's drone strikes, Nixon's gutting of the National Health Service, are all examples of what Presidents will try if unchecked.
