There should be no age consideration for voting. Another issue that could be addressed by Article V Convention of States. Voting rights should have only 2 tests: 1. Are you a CITIZEN? And 2. Do you pay taxes? Must truthfully answer yes to both. So if a 16 year-old citizen pays taxes, they should have the right to vote. If a 40 year-old citizen does NOT pay taxes, they should not have right to vote. Very logical. Those paying taxes should have a say in how their taxes are being spent. It’s very easy when you don’t pay taxes to vote for people who will expand benefits to you. And that is why we are some $120 trillion in debt. If only taxpayers voted, big spenders would not have been elected over past century exploding our spending and debt.
