Because the IRS isn't corrupt. It's not evil. It's necessary. Someone has to collect the taxes. And it's always been that way. The Western world exists because of heavy taxation in the Ancient Roman Empire. Don't even get me started on how fundamental the IRS is to our government. There may be evil people in the IRS. There may be corruption in the government. But fundamentally, taxation and government are FOR THE PEOPLE. Meanwhile, corporations exist for one purpose: to earn a profit. Sure, there are good people at the head of corporations and social entrepreneurship is an important branch of good works. But by and large, corporations are capable of mass destruction and with very few checks. They're polluting the air, the water. They're (in large numbers) refusing to raise the wages of their employees to a livable standard. They are exploiting the labor laws of foreign countries and selling to our children cigarettes and fast food. So don't trust them. Ever. They don't even have to act good--much less be good. And so if you take the government out of the equation further, and allow this handful of CEOs to make decisions that impact us all WITHOUT LIMITS--you will see what we have always known. Money buys politics. The politicians are the puppets. The lobbyists and the richest men and women of our nation who contribute massive amounts of money to their causes--these are the puppeteers. They thrive on the existence of the curtain. Please: DO NOT allow this. Our government has to stand up to these bullies. The Koch brothers, for instance. Pat McCrory is the puppet. The brothers pull his strings. If you want to see their agenda, and the many people they discriminate against privately--look at their check books.
