This bill heads in the precisely wrong direction, by counting on insurance companies to serve their customers honorably and thoroughly. Insurance companies have a profit motive as their uppermost priority, and service to sick people will always come second. Or maybe third or fourth. Nobody loves an insurance company, despite what the feel-good commercials try to sell us. We can't count on them to be there for any of us when we are facing long-term and/or potentially fatal illness. Please kill, cremate, and bury this bill -- preferably deeply in a huge dump pile soaked in oil refinery by-products.
