I am in favor of the Social Security Fairness Act of 2019. I'm currently a teacher and will be turning 70 this year. Although I love my job, I don't know how much longer I can physically perform it. Due to the fact that I will lose my surviving spouse benefit and/or receive my greatly-reduced social security payment due to the Windfall Elimination, I cannot see how I will financially survive. I went back to work later in life and do not have the 20-30-year career which would have provided a larger monthly retirement amount. My husband's Social Security benefit would provide enough to push me passed the poverty line - barely. Please vote YEA on this bill!
