Of course there are times when religious freedom must make reasonable sacrifices for the good of society, for example the placing of reflective signs on the back of slow-moving horse-drawn carriages. This promotes the safety of the adherent and the public who will share the road. But Obamacare steps too far here in that there are other options and having one of those other options does not endanger anyone. Obama's administration has been clear about not respecting the religious community on this and a host of issues and seems to have almost a vendetta against them. Religious freedom, not sexual freedom, is one of the foundational rights of our nation. No, I don't think we're losing it yet, but these kinds of things start like leaky faucets and then no one fixes them.
