We already have the largest, most well-funded military in the world. It has not helped the migrant crisis in the Middle East and Europe. It did nothing to thwart Russia's taking control of Crimea, part of another sovereign nation, thus breaking myriad international laws. One can argue that it has done more to boost enrollment in ISIS than to curb it, thus perpetuating the spread of violence and jihadism. I reject this increased funding toward the industrial-military complex that makes profits off war and suffering for a handful of corporate giants, all while our EPA, State Dept, and Healthcare are being gutted of federal funds, and while our country continues to drop in international rankings on Education, Health, and Social Welfare.
