This guy deserves his own national park. He founded the Sierra Club, of which I am a proud member. Adding a few acres to his national monument sounds great and costs almost nothing, so I cannot see why anyone would oppose it. However, given the egregious attacks on our public lands by the current administration, I feel this is woefully inadequate at offsetting the damage being perpetrated by the republican "conservatives" in power. Assuming this bill passes, it no way makes up for the damage, nor should we allow them to use it to save face. Trump and the current majority need to do a whole lot more before I could believe they are at all serious about protecting the environment or land conservation.
