I hear a lot of "I did this and that with no help" and "my situation was hard." Well so was mine. So we're a lot of people's. This isn't about you. This isn't about YOUR situation, or past experience. This is about improving a system so academic performance can improve. As long as education continues to rise in cost and create more debt, more assistance should be available while we await intervention to mitigate the education bubble burst. The real queation here is, "where will the money come from?" Create more debt by borrowing more money/issuing more bonds? Raising taxes? Or doing the responsible thing and redirecting spending?
