I keep reading comments, stating the more people who are registered to vote, means more will vote. I believe if your not inclined to register on your own, you probably won't take the time to go vote on your own. How about this, instead of wasting even more time at the DMV waiting for people to bring the correct documents to get a license and get registered to vote, they just drive to the local election office. They will have just received a brand new license allowing them to get there legally. It will have a current address on it, so verification of residency is easy. So if voting is important to you, go to the elections office and register. Ladies and Gentlemen the government shouldn't have to do everything for you. Sometimes you have to make an effort to do what is important. The two should not be done at the same time. If you feel I'm wrong then let's go one step further. License, voter registration and census gathering. This way you know who is a citizen and who is not, plus you get the benefit of knowing exactly where everyone lives.
