Since the bill already states that "Informed consent would not apply when the officer reasonably suspects that the person searched is armed and dangerous", I think it's fair to require informed consent on a search if that is not a concern. It is important to make sure our police officers are safe, but If a person is cooperating, shows no sign of being a threat, isn't resisting, they should be given this right. Hopefully, this would help cut down the rate of racial profiling. We all know that some officers are reasonable and fair, while others have used their power in a biased and unreasonable way.
