A better option would be to set a limit on the wage difference I.e. The CEO cannot make more than 20x the lowest paid employee. In this scenario if the CEO wants a million bucks the guy at the register makes 50k a year. And he's doing good. If profits improve and the guys at the top want more money then the guys at the bottom get a little more too. This cures all of the U.S. Workforce economic problems, lessens the amount of poor by a lot and bulks up the middle class like never before.
