So what this is saying is that police officers get special treatment. But, when they unjustly attack &/or kill someone, that person can’t even get basic justice. The same folks who would push for this bill, can’t be bother to even comment as someone’s child lays dying in the street. Yeah. Great way to restore any community faith in law enforcement as a whole. Making this a federal crime is also ridiculous because police officers don’t work for the federal government. They work for their states. What happened to the republican motto of “states’ rights”? A police officer would have federal protection; but the federal government refuses to act on police brutality and stand up for ordinary citizens. This is overreach at its finest. Thanks for reminding us little folks how much we matter.
