Here's the chance to eliminate some of the funding of cartels/terrorists, all while boosting money for the budgetary problems that we are facing now. It should be regulated and taxed similar to alcohol. Let's be honest here. The same as prohibition of alcohol, marijuana prohibition is failing for the same reasons. People just don't seem to care if it is illegal. They are going to do it regardless. At least the government can make some money by taxing it, the same time reducing the money that filters down to the cartels and terrorists. You mean to tell me that Congress doesn't have the common sense to see that? Perhaps they should look at some of the polls out there that shows that anywhere from 60%+ of the population say it should be legalized. I thought Congress was supposed to listen to the people! Or am I thinking of a different America?
