There is NO federal funds going towards abortion procedures. NONE. The Hyde Amendment already precludes this from taking place. All this bill accomplishes is attacking women's access to healthcare and their right to make autonomous choices about that healthcare. Reducing funds to clinics that provide services will only hurt low-income women and rural women with little or no access to healthcare. I've been a Planned Parenthood patient for nearly 20 years and have never had an abortion. They were oftentimes my ONLY outlet of medical care. At least I was able to stay on birth control and NOT get pregnant while severely underemployed....thanks to Planned Parenthood in Indiana. As far as I know, most politicians do NOT have a medical degree and are not qualified to make medical decisions for their constituents. Let's keep those things separate...like Church and State are SUPPOSED to be. If you're using your bible to make your voting choices, that is a HUGE problem.
