This is a highly subjective legislation meant to target only one criminal organization and not the many that have infiltrated the U.S. Territory. Rep. Comstock should know better than to base legislation upon ethnicity, religion or prior citizenship as the basis of exclusion from the U.S. This is just another bite at the apple of discrimination against minorities because of gang associations with certain ethnic minorities. That would be the same as excluding all inhabitants from major metropolitan areas from interstate travel because of the preponderance of gangs in those cities. What Rep. Comstock has naively overlooked as that the proliferation of MS13 gang members has come from incarceration in the US and the return of these gang members to Central America and Mexico. They have wrecked havoc in their country of origin and precipitated the shortsighted bill that is now under consideration. This is just another attempt to deal with the symptoms and not the disease behind the organized criminal enterprise.
