Term limits are a terrible idea outside of presidential appointments. These types of solutions are often conjured up by those who wish to lead but fail to do the things that make themselves leaders: responsibility, accountability, honesty, integrity, self reflection, confidence, passion, compassion, decisiveness, and humility. If our greatest leaders were alive today in our congress and had these qualities and a desire to devote themselves to true public service (not some warped idea to be connected and become overly wealthy), why would we want to strip them of that desire to pursue their passions and dreams ... and what's best for the people in the long run. Voting is how you produce turnover. Good policies, consensus building, and compromise are how you win over the most voters ... not marketing, spin, and lazy, overly simplistic thinking.
