Yes. Individuals in the military can experience situations that are emotionally overwhelming. This can vary from person to person. Some will be able to manage better than others. A person goes into the military to serve their country and sometimes an individual may not be capable of dealing with some situations no matter how great the training and preparation was. A military person in starting ranks will not make a good salary yet there are monumental responsibilities especially in combat situations. An individual in the military has earned the right to rewards and should receive grants to go to school and should receive excellent services for the service they have put in. Likewise adequate mental health services should be available to help individuals work through traumatic experiences. Our military has gotten the short end of the stick for way too long.
