We’ve been cutting the taxes of the corporate person and the well heeled for the last 30 years and it has gone too far. It was the tax hike of 1994 that ushered in the prosperity of the 90’s, in contrast to merely continuing a trend that was inherited in the first place. (Why is it that the government reports of continuing prosperity now are suddenly reliable, when in fact the method of crunching the data is exactly the same as it was on January 19, 2017?) I have no desire to (nor is there any need to) impoverish anyone, but we need to tax wealth to improve our infrastructure and make sure everyone pays their fair share of taxes and not one penny more. They’re too many problems that our country faces and that are unresolvable by rugged individualism and require a collective response .
