No, those funds should strictly be used for opioid treatment. My reasoning comes from the fact that people were PRESCRIBED opiates by their Doctors who knew the addictive properties, yet continued to prescribe them. The money needs to be used for this addiction, because there are innocent thousands out there who need and want help in their addiction crisis.
Doctors do NOT prescribe the street drugs, and there is already money set aside for these type addictions. If used for street drug addicts, opioid treatment funding would run out very quickly.
