States have the right to demand food producers and manufacturers to let their citizens know what is in their food. The Federal government has no right to tell states that they can not enact such laws. I hear people say that congress needs to stand up to the powerful gun lobby even though the gun lobby is funded mostly by private citizen ( voters ). This is a blatant case of congress bending to the wishes of major corporations INSTEAD of it's constituents. The health and welfare of the public and the publics right to know and choose are more important than money.
