I'm a active duty sailor. I have a clearance and a right to protect myself. I have never committed any felonies. I can't open or conceal carry in the area where I am stationed (CA). I would like to be able to protect myself or my loved ones from harm if the need arises. I have had formal training on weapons and I know how to use them. I think that the right to carry should not be at the state level but upheld at the federal level. How can you be able to drive in a state and it be honored in any state when driving is a privilege not a right but you can't carry a weapon when it's a right not a privilege?
