This concurrent resolution allows the Grand Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and its sponsors to hold two free public events on the Capitol grounds.

\"What is FOP?\" you might ask. It's an organization for sworn law enforcement officers — with a reported membership of over 325,000 members, spread over 2,100 local chapters at the local, state, and national (Grand Lodge) level. The group's stated goals are to improve working conditions for police officers through \"education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation.\"

The events to be held on Capitol grounds would be:

the National Honor Guard and Pipe Band Exhibition on May 14, 2015 and;
the 34th Annual National Peace Officers' Memorial Service on May 15, 2015, to honor the law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in 2014.
