This would be a tremendous help to myself and so many graduates. And yet the reality also is that many of us also hold far more than $50K in debt if we go on for further graduate school work. I hold two masters and a doctorate, and the reality of the teaching field in higher education is that there are very few tenure track jobs left (and I am an accomplished author of my work). Many of us cobblestone part-time and adjunct work together, but make no where near what we need to pay off our student loans, which then magnify with compound interest when we have to do income-dependent repayments plans. I fear this amount is a drop in the bucket for us. Nonetheless, I would be grateful to see this pass Congress. You also should take a look at the compound interest rate problem and student debt. Thank you!
