There are numerous moral arguments which can be made against interment camps. The comparison with the World War II Japanese camps in NOT one of them. The Japanese held in the camps were already within our borders as legal residents, many of them US citizens. Those currently interred did not enter legally and have chosen to cross our borders illegally. We need borders and border security. We need laws which are enforced. We need immigrants in our economy. We need to be a compassionate refuge and rational stewards of our resources. Throwing our borders open to everyone who seeks entry and then providing for their care is an unsustainable practice.
