This is a stunt. More legerdermain. In the heavily lobbied ecosystem of Congress - rife with cash for influence - a few missed paychecks aren't going to mean squat. Your vote is a far more lethal arrow to shoot. Paychecks and lobbying dollars both go away if they're out of office. Then, if we've passed a serious anti-lobbying bill that includes both Congress AND the executive branch (unlike H.R. 484 - check it on Countable), then the bums in question won't be able to pick up a lobbying gig once they're out!
