Dana Rorhabacher, I know you will get this message and I know this issue is close to your political beliefs. Regardless of your backwards ideas of climate change or your connections with Russia, you have actively campaigned for recreational marijuana throughout your career. Let the states decide on whether or not they want to make marijuana legal. The federal government’s only oversight into this industry is to make sure state law is followed as well as to crackdown on black market dealings. There is no reason that the federal government should interfere in the people’s ability to decide for themselves whether or not they want to smoke a blunt after working two shifts at two different jobs. Marijuana has been studied and shown that it is far less dangerous than alcohol and cigarettes and nowhere near as horrible as heroin, cocaine, and can improve the well-being of citizens who suffer from Parkinson’s, cancer, epilepsy, as well as many other debilitating diseases and illnesses. The Federal Government has no right in silencing the voices of Californians, Coloradans, or Alaskans. We voted to legalize marijuana. Last I checked, Jeff Sessions has never held residencies in either of these states. He has no business in infringing on our right to vote by ham-fisting prohibition again on a multi-billion dollar industry.
