I believe that the federal government will, one day, approve marijuana for recreational and medical purposes. Though many public officials, including those GOP leaders who have accepted funds from pharmaceutical companies, neglect the facts, research and experience has shown that the pros far outweigh the cons. Until it is approved nationally, I believe the federal government should respect states' decisions. Let those who have approved its use demonstrate the economic and health benefits, if that is what other states need to see before larger-scale policy is made. I hope Florida will approve statewide medical and recreational use soon, as its school system could really use the revenue that other states have seen.
