NO! The student loan business and the government's involvement in it is what is driving the price of college tuition to completely unaffordable levels. Why should colleges care what they charge, when the government is in charge of collecting the debt? If colleges needed to collect the debt, they might be more sensitive to the prices they charge in tuition, room and board, etc... Get the government OUT of the student loan business. Make colleges accountable for the tuition they charge, and watch tuition drop to affordable levels. Why should colleges care when they have middlemen, the government, taking care of payments to them. They don't and their tuition prices reflect that. NO more government loans.
