There are many many many more negatives factors than positives ones that go into banning abortion. First off the baby in the womb is nothing but a clump of cells for the first few weeks, even by one month it's only an embryo - two layers of cells - that's all. It cannot think, it cannot breath, NOR can it feel pain (so that immediately defeats the argument that it is being hurt when it is being aborted that early). Besides the fact that it is a clump of cells, it also takes a toll on the mother as well. Here are the main reasons a woman gets an abortion: Birth control (contraceptive) failure. Inability to support or care for a child. To prevent the birth of a child with severe medical problems. Pregnancy resulting from rape or incest. Physical or mental conditions that endanger the woman's health if the pregnancy is continued (WebMD). These are all justified reasons for a woman to get an abortion; either it wasn't supposed to happen or it prevents suffering of the mother or child or both. They aren't just getting one for no reason at all. NEXT putting the child up for adoption is a terrible way to deal with the child that couldn't be aborted. There are roughly 400,000 children in the US foster care system. Of that number, approximately 100,000 are waiting to be adopted, 30,000 age out every year, without families (Show Hope). Children are not guaranteed to be adopted, a lot of them grow up without families, without a mother or father to care for and nurture them. Not to mention that a lot of children wonder why they were given up for adoption; they wonder why their parent didn't want them. And it's hard for children to find out that they were the result of a rape, or their parent just flat out didn't want them, or that they couldn't support the child. It's psychologically damaging to a child. Overall if a woman is forced to have a child according to the government, she and the child could suffer; she can't support them; the mother didn't want them in the first place so she's extremely harsh towards the child for their whole life; the mother has permanent damage to her body because she was forced to go through with the pregnancy; she died; the child is in an orphanage and life really sucks for them. You get the picture. It's the woman's choice, she has to carry the child in her womb for 9 months, then take care of it for 18 more years, or give them up for adoption. #prochoice #herchoice.
