No president would be expected (nor would they) give confidential transcripts (etc) of private meetings. This would set a horrible precedence that would paralyze the executive branch. There are matters that demand privacy. Just think what would happen if a president had to publicly declare everything including war strategies, Ect. It just wouldn’t work. I am all for transparency. Most agencies and government officials should provide complete transparency (even though almost none do) but the president is a little different story because of the position he holds and the secrets he is required to keep in order to protect the safety of the American people.
